Age Profile of Installed Base
In addition to market data, COCIR also measures the age profile and density of the installed base of the main medical imaging product modalities.
The “Golden Rules” for medical imaging were developed by COCIR in 2003 to recommend an appropriate mix in the age profile of installed equipment. They take into account both the obligation to derive the maximum return from capital investment and the need to fully leverage the benefits of innovation.
COCIR data proactively supports European Member States in monitoring their healthcare equipment and planning for its renewal with the adoption of up-to-date technology.
